This Privacy Policy explains what information Nia Pinnn collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account: your email address, and if you sign in with Google or Apple, the basic profile they share (name, avatar). • Profile: your username, display name and profile photo. • Saved places (PINNN): the places you save, with your notes, tags, favorites and any reference links you attach (e.g. TikTok, Instagram, YouTube). • Lists: the lists you create and who you share them with. • Friends: your friend connections and requests. • Location: your device location, used only while the app is open, to show nearby places and distances. We never track your location in the background. • Usage: basic technical data needed to run the app (e.g. your sign-in session).

How we use your information

We use your information to provide the app's core features: saving and organizing places, building and sharing lists, connecting with friends, showing nearby places, and sending in-app notifications such as friend requests and list invites. We do not sell your personal information.

What others can see

When you add a friend, they can see your profile and your saved places, including the notes and tags on them. When you share a list with a friend and they accept, they can view that list and its places. You choose who to friend and which lists to share. Shared members can view but not edit your lists.

Third-party services

We rely on trusted providers to run the app: Supabase (authentication and database), Google Places & Maps and Mapbox (place search and maps), and Apple / Google (optional sign-in). When you paste a reference link, we may use an automated service to read the link's public title to help identify the place. These providers process your data only to deliver these features.

Location

Location access is optional and used only while the app is in the foreground, to sort places by distance and show what's nearby. You can deny or revoke location permission any time in your device settings; the app still works without it.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete individual places, lists, notes and friends at any time. If you delete your account, we remove your profile, saved places, lists and friend connections.

Security

Your data is stored on Supabase with access controls so only you — and the friends you choose — can see your content. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children

Nia Pinnn is not intended for children under 13, or the minimum age required in your country. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the date above, and significant changes may be highlighted in the app.
